The energy around the WNBA All-Star Weekend has never been stronger — and this year, Google Pixel showed up not just as a sponsor, but as a storyteller, a curator, and a champion of the women who power the league on and off the court.

At the heart of our presence was a Pixel-powered gallery experience, built to spotlight the artistry, innovation, and creativity of women within the WNBA universe. Every detail of the space was intentionally crafted to feel like a living, breathing tribute to the culture surrounding the game.

Through a blend of art, fashion, and fandom, the space became more than an activation — it became a tribute. A Pixel-powered canvas honoring the past, present, and future of the WNBA, built by the very women shaping its legacy.

NIKE BASKETBALL x LEBRON JAMES x EYBL SCHOLASTICCHOSEN CHAMPIONS
EYBL &#38;amp; CHOSEN 1’S INVITATIONAL: LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS
Nike wanted to reinvigorate LeBron’s annual high school invitational, Chosen 1’s; an event with massive untapped potential to become a fixture in LJ’s post-career legacy. We understood that a saturated tournament schedule for elite young athletes elicited a need to cement Chosen 1’s as the can’t miss moment of their season.

As avid sports fans, it was immediately clear that Vegas is where we place our bets on the next era of hoops stars. Whether it’s the NBA Summer League, March Madness , USAB or now, Chosen 1’s, Vegas is a sneak peek into basketball’s future.

In regards to the experience, numerous interviews with athletes and coaches revealed success in our efforts to deliver a formative, high-octane experience for players, coaches, and attendees. Saturday (where Chosen 1's teams took the stage) rang out with the cheers of 700+ attendees throughout the day.

The energy around the WNBA All-Star Weekend has never been stronger — and this year, Google Pixel showed up not just as a sponsor, but as a storyteller, a curator, and a champion of the women who power the league on and off the court.

At the heart of our presence was a Pixel-powered gallery experience, built to spotlight the artistry, innovation, and creativity of women within the WNBA universe. Every detail of the space was intentionally crafted to feel like a living, breathing tribute to the culture surrounding the game.

Through a blend of art, fashion, and fandom, the space became more than an activation — it became a tribute. A Pixel-powered canvas honoring the past, present, and future of the WNBA, built by the very women shaping its legacy.

BATTLE OF THE BANDSFor HBCU night, we featured Grambling State’s World Famed Tiger Marching Band &#38;amp; Southern University’s “Human Jukebox” in a double header pep rally before hosting a show-stopping battle of the bands. All leading up to Google announcing their dedication to HBCU’s with an NBA Foundation donation. 


QUEENS OF THE COURTMalika Andrews &#38;amp; Kelsey Plum were the queens of the court, serving hot takes during their courtside panel.


IMAN AMONGST MENWhile Iman Shumpert recorded the first-ever live taping of his hit podcast Iman Amongst Men, live from the playground. 

VERY IMPORTANT PIXEL PEOPLEOur VIP lounge was buzzing with W/NBA stars like Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounpo, Arike Ogwumike and Diamond DeShields. Slick Rick pulled up with a literal suitcase of chains, adorning special guest attendees like Raptors superfan, Nav Bhatia.

For the 23/24 NBA season we were tasked with making Pixel’s “The Only Phone Engineered By Google” tagline relevant to hoops fans. We came up with the thought of ‘Built Different’, tying the phone’s next level performance to your fav hoops stars otherworldly abilities. 
Then to make it relevant to everyone, we tapped Gen Z’s fav comedian, Druski, and had him his use his Pixel to live out every hoops fans secret dream of making the league. The campaign kicked off with a series of social stunts the week before tip off, then a national TVC campaign plus social, content, and experiential activations rolling out all season long.

THE TVCThen we flooded every NBA game with promos for a faux reality TV show that followed his season long journey. Druski will make it to the league by any means necessary–as a NBA prospect, league stylist, league photographer, NBA agent, or NBA commentator.
